Hey Grovers! Starting something new here over in the Grove. It’s called Fan Art Friday and for its inaugural entry, we found in the old mailbox a piece sent over from George Ford from Addanac City!
Why have we never done this before here at the Grove? Well, because in the over 25 years I have been creating cartoons, I have never, ever had fan art sent to me! I know, I know, hold your gasps…I know it’s hard to believe with all the tens of readers I have, but it’s true!
So if you would like to submit fan art to show here on a future Fan Art Friday, please send it to me at karl@kwkproductions.com.
Thanks again to George Ford for submitting the very first fan art I have ever received in my long “career.”
Oh, and happy Friday the 13th all you Grovers! Make sure you break plenty of mirrors while walking under a ladder as you spill salt and open an umbrella indoors as a black cat scampers back and forth across your path!
Hi Grovers! Due to the holiday weekend, I have not had time to sit down and write a review for the Spiderforest Comic of the Week, but I did want to tell you all to pop on over and have a look at this comic! Keys, by Nicoli Gonnella

[Puts on his Movie Voice Over voice] In a world…
Hey Grovers! This week’s SpiderForest Comic of the Week shines the spotlight on Dream*Scar by Heather Meade. This well drawn and beautifully colored comic delves into an alternate world where humans and unhumans co-exist. The unhumans, made up of creatures of myth and lore; vampires, werewolves, dragons, unicorns…unicorns? I don’t know if there are any in there…at least I haven’t seen them yet, but you know what I mean. This co-existence is something that is new to both the unhumans and humans alike, so things don’t always run so smoothly and conflicts erupt over misunderstandings and misconceptions of how the others actually are.
Imagine if you were a vampire and you heard stories growing up of how this mythical creature called a human acted and preyed upon vampires, but everything you were told was actually wrong but didn’t know it, then you were thrust into having to live with humans, how would you react based upon your misconceptions? That’s what this comic presents in an entertaining fashion.
It updates every Friday and it’s rated PG-13 for violence, language and sexual situations, but I highly recommend you check it out and book mark this comic!
