WG 616 Onomatopoeia
Welcome to Onomatopoeia Day 2011! This is the 3rd year in which we here at the Grove, as well as a few other web comic artists celebrate something silly and fun by replacing a sound effect word (an onomatopoeia) with the word onomatopoeia. It was started back in 2009 with a conversation on twitterwith Brian Anderson of Dog Eat Doug fame and has happened every year since (although at a different day each year…hopefully, this will be the final day it changes to and, unless July 15th falls on a Saturday or Sunday when Willow’s Grove doesn’t publish, this day will be the new home for Onomatopoeia Day. The rule of thumb will be if July 15th falls on a Saturday, then the day will be July 14th, if it falls on a Sunday, then it will be July 16th…easy enough, eh?) with a bit more webcomics participating.
If you are a webcomic artist and are participating, send me a shout on twitter or facebook and I’ll pop a link up to your comic!
