State Of The Site
Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019Well, that took longer than expected! I had thought I would save a bit of $ by migrating to the hosting package I had for my company, but it turns out that they didn’t offer an SSL certificate for free. I was paying $$$ for that hosting (won’t name it but it starts with a g and end with a y) so I pulled the plug on that and got a new host that can be used as my company hosting (I can host several sites so my clients will be happy) AND save about $110 to boot each year, AND get SSL for free.
The only problem was, and the reason for the delay in getting the site back up and running, was my usual manual migration didn’t work out too well with the new host and I got three errors at once (I have never in my 10 years migrating WP sites encountered all three at the same time- individually, yes, and was able to fix, but never all three at the same time). However, 4 hours later after starting a support chat, we were finally able to get the site back up and I was able to access the admin side. WHEW!
Guess that means I’m sticking with the new host for good now…LOL
