Many Thanks!

Saturday, March 4th, 2017

Just wanted to give a special thank you to the following people for their support of Willow’s Grove! It really means a lot that I have readers that take an invested interest in keeping this old comic going!

So thank you to Ken, Brian, Derek, Tobias, and Software Wild! Your generous contributions help in ways you can’t being to imagine and I just wanted to post my gratitude to you all.

To all my readers, thank you for being part of the Willow’s Grove family. Your comments are always welcome and I look forward to seeing them after a new comic is posted. I may not reply to them fast enough, but please know that I read every one. And to those readers who would like to support this comic but can’t, I completely understand. It isn’t the best out there, and this old cartoonist knows it first hand. I thank you though for reading my comic. To those who have contributed in the past and not in this latest support drive, you know you are appreciated and I thank you as well, for all your support.

Finally, (and this is just a joke…truly, it is just a joke, please don’t take it seriously) to all those readers who went out and bought a Nintendo Switch and are posting about it on Twitter and Facebook…really? (p.s. I’m just kidding, really, enjoy your Switch…p.s.s. but please stop posting about it on Twitter and Facebook)

Peace!

Comic Book Fire Sale – All Items Must Go

Monday, May 22nd, 2017

Hey Grovers! I’ve decided it’s time to thin the herd, so to speak, in the clutter that occupies the closets in my home. The first thing to go is, unfortunately, my comic book collection. I started collecting Superman & Batman titles starting just before the Doomsday/Death of Superman for Superman & Knightfall for the Batman titles. I bought them from comic book shops for the most part, so they are boarded and sleeved. I read them once, and then placed them back in the sleeve and then stored them. There are a few Superman titles, that I know are missing, as I didn’t see the Doomsday/Death of Superman run when I was cataloging them. Should I find them, I will place them up for sale, too. All title prices are the cover prices. I have not had them appraised, but again, they were read once and then put back into their sleeves and then stored so they are pretty damn close to mint.

First to go (as they are the ones that I have sorted and cataloged in a spreadsheet – see below) are the Superman titles. I will go through all the Batman titles starting tomorrow & go through the long process of cataloging them into their own spreadsheet & then post as I finish it.

So, if you are interested in picking up some older comics (1994 – 2004), or if you are interested in picking up the entire Superman collection, please let me know. We can work out shipping details as the titles are purchased (if they are purchased in bulk, I should say, as individual titles purchased should break the bank for shipping – unless it is international shipping – that rate is horrible, sadly). Take a look at the spreadsheet and let me know if you are interested. Again, the price for each is the price on the cover.

Rattling The Old Tip Jar

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017

Hey Grovers! With ad revenue being down to literally fractions of a penny each day, I’m putting out a call to you to help, if you can, keep this old comic afloat by dropping a tip in the old tip jar. It’ll go towards hosting (which my current host sucks & I desperately need to migrate to a new one), art supplies, and possibly making a small dent in me being able to get new equipment to keep bringing you Willow’s Grove Monday through Friday each week. This old computer is starting to show its age and slowing down, which makes creating the strip and other works of art longer than it should. Any little bit will be appreciated. Think of it as a Willow’s Grove Telethon 😀 Thanks!
